Building a Private Blog Network might look like something that you can achieve on your own and it certainly can be done … but with a lot of hard work and dedication.
Unfortunately, all it takes is one wrong move for your hard work to fail miserably.
You really do not want to wake up one sunny morning and suddenly discover that your site(s) has been de-indexed by Google.
This is where hiring someone with the right experience can really help you. Thinking you understand PBN setup and actually understanding PBN setup can sometimes be two quite different entities.
The points below are just a heads up, a very sketchy list of the most basic things to avoid, when involved in the thorny issue that is setting up your PBN.
WHAT’S IN A NAME?
The first thing that needs to be got right before you can even start your PBN network is the domain name. There are so many things that could be an issue here it is hard to know where to start. To begin with, has the domain been used by spammers in the past? When was this name last in use? Has it ever been used as a PBN in a past life? All these and far more are questions you will need to ask.
WHO AM I?
For every PBN site you set up you need a whole new profile, name, address, email etc. You need to think about who is authoring each site and how it is paid for. Sounds a bit complicated? This is why people pay for expertise in this area.
LINKS LINKS LINKS
There is much more that could be said on this topic, but you want to make sure that your site has links that work internally as well as link out to respected websites e.g. Wikipedia.
…and knowing how to and best do the links also incorporates knowing where to stop. You want your site to look genuine, right?
Not every webpage comes with links…hard to believe, but true! Not every webpage comes with an identical number of links on the end of each one, either. Link out to genuine sites which are connected with the subject matter that your site is concerned with.
BE FRIENDS WITH STRANGERS…. OR HAVE A RANGE OF DIFFERENT HOSTS
In a strange sort of way, you need to be a little bit of a cyber tart and start shopping around a bit. Don’t use the same host for any of your PBN sites.
SO YOU CAN DO ALL THAT OKAY?
Great, but now you want to do it ten times over, maybe more, depending on the size of the PBN you are trying to build. And then do this for each of your money sites.
Do you even have that many hours in your day? If like the majority of website owners, you would rather deal with your main business, then you may want to delegate this irksome but essential task to someone who knows what they are doing.
In other words… hire a pro – to do it right, to do it first time and to let you get on with the rest of your life!
